Differences Shouldn't Tear Us Apart


We've been saying this a very long time. We need to live together and stop tearing apart from one another over health and medical choices. People are not wired the same. But we all live in the same world. 

It's time we recognized that.

What is More Dangerous

Comparing things to the Holocaust is never the right way to go. It belittles the tragedy of that time period, and is most insensitive to those who went through the horrors of that period in history. Can we compare things to the social evolution of the 1930s? I think we can. The way the Germans were able to create public support for their agenda against the Jews was through fear-mongering. They presented Jews as dangerous, and through law after law and stage by stage, they diminished the humanity of the Jews in the eyes of their neighbors. It's just Jews... they are  dangerous! It's just Jews... they are  filthy!  It's just Jews... they are a little less human! Etc etc etc Discrimination needs to be a real concern we all share because it is the first step in dehumanizing another person.
