Irony 101
The word on the street today (especially as argued by rabbis ignorant of vaccine safety concerns) is that an unvaccinated person is like a loaded gun.
I am shocked that the second amendment advocates haven't jumped all over this. After all, guns don't kill - people kill! Which means that there needs to be evil intent on the part of the person behind the gun. But I digress.
Now, while it might be true that "an unvaccinated person might be more susceptible to infection" (emphasis on the words "might be" because vaccines are far from perfect), it is NOT true that a healthy person who is not vaccinated is a danger to anyone.
For God's sake, much of the arguments for everyone to vaccinate is to protect those who CANNOT BE VACCINATED.
By this logic, the people we are trying to protect, who we all accept should not be vaccinated, are LOADED GUNS THEMSELVES! They TOO should not be allowed into school, into shul, into camp.
Being arguably (not guaranteed) more susceptible to catching disease does not mean one is carrying disease.
AND, if vaccination is the solution to the measles, then why are the vaccinated afraid of the unvaccinated?
