Which God do you believe in?

God who made the world Maimonides writes what it means to live a healthy life (De'ot chapter 4). In there he says that anyone who follows his advice of what to eat and how to go about taking care of oneself is GUARANTEED to not get sick. Does he mean that such a person will never contract an illness? I don't think so. He probably means that the person will not have a chronic issue. But of course people get sick and get over it. We understand the concept of a reboot. Sometimes a computer needs to be restarted to get past whatever has frozen it. Sometimes a body's immune system needs to reboot, and the way it does that is through illnesses that jumpstart that process. We are talking about natural illnesses that go through the body in the natural way (as opposed to introduced to the body through a needle in the arm or leg and into a muscle).
