What would Rav Shteinman say?
“To expel a student from yeshiva cuts him away from
ruchniyus. It is like taking him to the middle of an ocean in a boat, throwing
him overboard and telling him to swim to safety.”
Rav Shteinman heard this from the Chazon Ish. (“Reb Aharon
Leib” – Naftali Weinberger, Artscroll, p. 142-143)
R’ Aharon Leib stated that once a school accepts a student,
even if the student turns out to be disruptive, he should not be sent away unless
he is adversely affecting the yiras Shamayim of others. (“Reb Aharon
Leib” – Naftali Weinberger, Artscroll, p. 143)
In a different conversation, Rav Shteinman noted that people who select who may or may not enter the school have a serious "Gayvah" problem.
What has driven these policies excluding the unvaccinated?
Maybe (unwarranted) fear.
Certainly distrust.
Certainly hatred.
CERTAINLY GAYVAH.
Yeshiva adminstrations, boards, rabbis are turning Jews away from Judaism.
GAYVAH!!! GAYVAH!!!
